Men of ancient Athens were considered citizens after they competed their military degree.
Men spent most of their time out, they would work, shop, vote and discuss politics.
Men also had to participate in the assembly.
Metics were people of Athens who weren't born in city-state they couldn't own land and weren't citizens
Women of ancient Athens could not participate in democracy they also were considered citizens if their parents were born in ancient Athens.
Women stayed home and did all the housework including cleaning, cooking and paying bills
Children of ancient Athens got classified as soon as they were born.
When a boy is born they attached an olive branch to show victory.
When a girl was born they attached a piece of wool to show her future as a homekeeper.
Slaves were owned by city-state or were private Athenians.
Many were taken prisoner when city-state attacked.
